If you're doing spaghetti marketing when it comes to your content marketing, watch this video to see how you can get a FREE content marketing template so you can say Content Marketing Done!  .#GiDMarketing #GetItDoneMarketing

Do you struggle with content marketing? I'm going to give you the magic wand that makes it all better.

Hey everybody, Stacy Riska, your get it done marketing specialist. When it comes to marketing, so many business owners are just doing spaghetti marketing, especially related to content. "Oh, I'll do a social post today. I'll do an email newsletter tomorrow and maybe once a month, I might publish a blog, but just to throw something up there." Look, you need to have a cohesive and concise marketing strategy when it comes to your content marketing. Today, I'm going to peel back the curtain and show you exactly what we do in helping our clients get their content plan into action.

This is a spreadsheet that we use to help our clients organize their content so that they're using a multimedia multi-touch approach. It's a very simple spreadsheet that you can set up yourself as well and at the end of this video, I'll give you a way to reach out to me and get a copy of it for free.

What we do is we have it set up so there's a year long calendar and each month has a theme. This month, the March theme is luck. This is for one of our clients who was a naturopathic doctor. So the idea is we're tying in the theme of how you can control your health that it's not about quote unquote, "Luck." This is her content theme of the month. On the left hand side here is a calendar where we will put all of the different types of content that we're doing into each of these boxes, so that we can then visually see what content is going out when, and we can see if there's any gaps and/or if perhaps there's some redundancy, too much is going out in one day.

So if you visually post your content ahead of time to know what you're doing when, you'll be way ahead of the game. On the bottom of the spreadsheet are days and holidays and hashtags that we're tapping into, especially for social media. I'm a big proponent of using holidays in your marketing. It's a great way to stand out from the crowd, come up with unique campaigns and drive revenue in the door. So for this client, we're leveraging National Nutrition Month. Makes sense, she's a naturopath. National Women's History Month. And then there are specific days and hashtags that happen each month that we're tapping into, and we have those listed here. The key is we're being proactive. We're thinking ahead of time, how and what holidays we want to tap into. So we have those all noted here.

If you haven't yet grabbed a free copy of my social media content calendar, you can get that for free. Just go to gidmarketing.com/contet-calendar, and you will get a year's worth of holidays and hashtags and how you can leverage that in building out your content calendar.

Okay? On the right hand side of the spreadsheet is other types of content that we're creating. The newsletter, Facebook lives. When my client is going in Facebook live, and she has two different groups that she does that in. When are we posting a blog? What is that content going to be about? When are we sending out her newsletter? Again, this is a visual way to see and plan your content a month ahead of time, so you're always being proactive. And then on the bottom part of the spreadsheet is where we're going to track the results. So for all the different types of marketing that we're doing for this client, in our strategy calls we'll map out what our goal is for that month and we'll track the results as we have our weekly calls. Are we on track? Do we need to tweak anything?

And then as we review these at month's end, we'll make some notes. What went particularly well that we may want to leverage? What, if anything, didn't go well and what could we do perhaps different in following months? This way, as I said because we have a year's worth of data, you can see how things are progressing over time. Would you like to get a free copy of this content calendar template?
